How to find us
"I'll bring a paper fan and hold a sign in lobby until 20 minutes before play."
Let's go see some live theatre--that's on the west side! Support the local arts, especially in the dog days of summer. I'm scouting a nearby place for a cold drink to talk over what we saw and enjoy everyone's company afterward.
Theater Works will present two plays in rotation. On this date we'll go see Park Your Car in Harvard Yard. Seating is general admission so you can buy a ticket in advance or take your chances that day. We'll meet in the lobby and then some scouts ahead to secure seats for all yeses--not the maybes-while we continue to collect.
?Summer Rep is a fun way to be able to condense all your resources and produce two shows using
all the same artists. Our set designer, Mark Austin, is designing a set that can magically be
transformed into another set within 30 minutes so we can perform two shows in one day.
?Literally, the audience can see a matinee, leave for dinner and come back for a completely different show during the evening performance,? she proudly explained. ?And our shows complement each other nicely. What About Luv is a hysterical musical romp in contrast to Park
Your Car in Harvard Yard which is full of humor and warmth.?
This type of staging is beneficial to the audience too, as the tickets are kept down so low at $20 they are the least expensive price offered throughout the year and provides an even greater discount if you see both shows at $35. ?And to really sweeten the deal, if you pay the $35.00 per person to see both plays, we are offering you $20.00 off your Season Tickets, making the new season completely affordable.? ( Parking is free unlike the downtown venues and you'll save on gas, too.)
Allen will star with Charles Sohn in ?Park Your Car in Harvard Yard?. ?Harvard Yard? opens Thursday, July 10 and ?What About Luv? opens the following evening at 7:30. From that point on, the two shows share the stage every Thurs-Sunday through July 27.
