What: Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks

When: Saturday, May 24, 4:00 PM

Who should come: Those who enjoy a good spring day at the beach, followed by a live band and an excellent fireworks show where the action is so close that the fireworks sometimes feel like they are falling on you.

Meeting Description: We will meet at 4:00 PM at the pier of the Northernmost section of the beach. I should be wearing a pink t-shirt and green capri pants. At 5:00 we should try to settle somewhere that will be a bit closer to where the action will be.


Bring picnic food if you so want to, but if not, there should be a snackbar and several ice cream trucks.
The beach has restrictions against alcohol, so please do not bring alcoholic beverages.


Try to get there at 4:00 or beforehand because parking can be difficult. Also Parking is $5.00 a car if you chose to drive. If you don't want to drive, or don't have a car, if you are fit, the park is walkable from the Port Washington Train Station. Take the Port Washington Branch of the LIRR, which stops at Penn Station, Woodside and Flushing Main Street. LIRR Port Washington Branch
