Calling on all soccer aficionados... Whether you've never played beginner, intermediate, or a real pro... It would be really neat to kick the ball around for an hour or so every week in a non competitive environment. We can head to the nearest coffee shop/bar for a drink afterwards to make up for burnt calories :).
I am personally a beginner, just started, and despite a bad knee, I take it easy and have loads of fun. If you are interested please include in the comment section (when you RSVP) whether you played before or not.
Note: There is no coaching and this is totally for fun (I, the organizer, am in no way responsible for any person on the field.. you play at your own risk).
Location: Sunset Beach (Beach and Bute)
Parking: There is 2hr parking on Beach Ave and Pacific. There is also a parking lot on Beach and Bute.
I have a soccer ball which I will bring. However, if any of you have a ball please bring it as a replacement. I will try to purchase some cones so that we can simulate a "scaled down" field.
To cover the cost I will raise the meetup cost to 1.00 and hopefully I can recover by the end of the summer if we keep playing.
