As the summer is quickly ending, let's enjoy a bit of Italian food. For those of you who participated in the food survey, this was the winner.

If you have never eaten at Buca before, their food is served "family style". This means that the average plate has enough food for 2 (or more) people, so food sharing is possible. There will be no "maybes" option this time, as we'll need to reserve a table(s) in advance. Please plan accordingly.

Ready to party Italian style? Our next Saturday Night Meetup Dinner is at Chris' place in St. Paul.

About Chris:
Chris Cromwell grew up in Portland, OR; he came to move to Minnesota through his work with the Federal Highway Administration as a Civil Engineer. Chris has lived in Minnesota for the last four years and enjoys the outdoors spending his time hiking and backpacking. He appreciates beautiful art, collecting it as well as producing his own art which you will see displayed throughout his house. He also likes to cook, Italian is his favorite and he makes some delicious pasta.

Recommended Items (from Chris):
It would be best to have some main course dishes, pasta, antipasta, salads, bread, and any other items of Italian theme. I also would like some wine preferably a white wine like a pinot grigio.

In addition to food could someone bring some folding chairs, I have another dinning room able I can set up. Four more chairs would be great. I also have quite a bit of yard space for a house in the city. If you have a favorite yard game, please bring it.

Note: please do not bring Lasagna, because that is what I plan to prepare.

The Saturday Night Dinners are celebrating a "Cinco de Mayo" style dinner at Jason's place. Join your friends and young professionals for a night full of Mexican food and Margaritas (Hopefully someone is an expert in making Margaritas...) Bring a Mexican dish/beverage of your choice - when you RSVP, please make a note of what you're bringing; this will avoid any duplications.

- 6:30pm: Introductions ~ be ready with funny stories.
- 6:45pm: Let's get the party started!

About Jason

Jason is a Native Minnesotan. He grew up in Crookston, but lived in Duluth before coming to the Twin Cities about 6 years ago. He graduated from both the College of St. Scholastica and the University of Wisconsin - Superior. He currently works as the Sr. System Administrator (i.e. "your company's annoying computer guy") for a small company in Minnetonka.

Hobbies:

Bowling, paintball, poker, the occasional game of kickball. Random interesting fact - Favorite song to do karaoke style: "Asshole" by Denis Leary. Will also do Britney Spears if there's money involved.

Mellissa's favorite food is cheese, so this evening is a celebration of cheese. Make a dish that has some sort of cheese, bonus points to someone who can think of a creative dessert with cheese. Cheesecake is not creative enough to win bonus points ;) Mike and Mellissa will provide a main pasta dish (with cheese of course), water, and soda. Please bring a dish to share and any alcoholic beverages you would like to drink.

Mike and Mellissa have a love of travel, wine, and food. We joined meetup to meet new people, expand our circle of friends and share our love of food. Mike grew up in Bloomington, MN, went to college at the University of Wisconsin and has worked for a consulting company for the past 12 years. Many of those years were spent living abroad. Mellissa grew up in Wisconsin and went to the University of Minnesota and has spent the past 5 years working in marketing at Ecolab and is currently finishing her MBA.

Take Hwy 77 into Apple Valley and turn left on Country Road 42, follow to Galaxie and turn right, go about a half mile and turn left on 157th st. Take 157th to France Way and turn right. We live in a neighborhood of row homes, please park on the east side of France Way. Pay attention to parking signs as you can only park on one side of the street.
