Come join Mike and some friends for a drink at his favorite bar in North County: O'Sullivan's of Carlsbad, formerly Tom Giblin's Irish Pub. The traditional old world feel and relaxed atmosphere here makes it a great place to kick back and meet some new friends. Tuesday night is one of the less busy nights. It's a good day to get a feel for the place and imagine what its like when packed full of revelers and bawdy Irish tunes. Fear the Fat Guy usually starts playing at 8pm and drinks are moved inside at 10pm. The restaurant is open until 10pm as well for anyone who is hungry! He highly recommends the Galway burger or the seafood boxty! The pub is open til midnight for drinks.
The serving staff is warm and friendly and the food is top notch. He challenges you to find a better pint of Guinness in San Diego. He will wear a shirt that says "Meetup" on it so you can find him. If that fails try calling him at 760-271-1435. If he doesn't answer just ask any of the bar staff where "Blacksmith" Mike is and they can probably point him out.

    • “ I went here with some of my old neighbors here before it was O'Sullivans and had a blast - - crowded, great Irish music, singing and dancing. I guess it's different going there on the weekends. The group was great as usual, but the place was a bit more low key. I mean really two guys singing an accoustic version of the disco anthem "I will Survive!" on guitar and conga drums was a bit out there! ”
