I live in Genoa, IL, just north of Sycamore.There is a knitting store on Illinois 38 downtown, across from MCR Framing. It is the Yarn Exchange, (815) 787-9276 - 134 E Lincoln Hwy, Dekalb, IL. The will tell you about local groups. A great group I am familiar is the United Methodist Church in Sycamore. The are a great group a wealth of experience.
