MOONRAKER at Crystal City

Arlington County is holding a FREE James Bond film festival every Monday night, where they show a different picture every week. They've been going chronologically, Starting with Dr. No on May 5 and ending with Casino Royale on September 22. This week's film is 1979's Moonraker, which I've never seen, so this will be a voyage of discovery in my case. Maybe some others here too?

The film will be shown in the courtyard of an office complex at S. 18th Street & Bell Street in Crystal City. It is directly across the street from the Crystal City Metro stop, and I strongly recommend taking Metro to this because there isn't much street parking in Crystal City. Besides, it's just a lot easier.

The film officially starts at "sundown", which can be anywhere from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, depending on the day. The films run rain or shine, and the county encourages everyone to bring a picnic and a blanket. For folks coming from work, that may be a bit unwieldy, but there are lots of restaurants around the area where you can grab food before coming to the film. There are also a few benches to sit on there, but I suspect those will fill up fast, these have been well attended thus far.
